Robert “Rob” C. Grizzard LUTCF

Rob grew up in Hanover County. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Marketing in 1987. After graduating Rob moved to Virginia Beach for a year to establish new territory for the company he went to work for.  After nine years of service to his employer, Rob made the decision it was a time for a change in his profession, joining The Horace Mann Insurance Companies. In his fourteen years of service with Horace Mann, the dedication to his client’s financial future was unsurpassed. Rob received numerous awards and the prestigious opportunity to speak to new and upcoming representatives. His level of dedication and commitment has led to a number of lifelong friendships with clients and colleagues.

After leaving Horace Mann in 2010, Rob opened up his own financial services business. In 2012, Rob met Sam Kouri through a mutual acquaintance. By 2013 Rob and Sam had struck up such a mutual level of respect that it led to the creation of K & G Financial Services.  As partners they work with individuals, families and closely held business owners to develop long-term financial strategies.

Rob joined the Associated Builders and Contractors organization in 2014. He looked for an opportunity to get more involved with ABC and he joined the Retention and Involvement Committee in 2016. After serving for a year, Rob was asked to chair the committee. He proudly accepted the opportunity.

Rob currently resides in Hanover County with his wife Kathy, and enjoys spending time with his two daughters Lindsey and Kaitlyn and step-son Ryan.
